Let's End the War on Drugs

actually, it is a war. not on drugs, but on people. and i don't know about the CIA selling drugs, but you don't have to even go into conspiracy theories to know that the government doesn't want the war to end. it's a JOBS program. the DEA, the drug czar's office, the HIDTA (drug task forces) - their jobs all depend on this war. not to mention the local police forces across the country who get federal dollars specifically for the drug war, to buy new surveillance equipment, ATV's to run around the woods looking for grows, tanks, etc. it's militarizing our local law enforcement. then you've got prison guards unions (hello california), prison building industry, the drug testing (UA) industry (which is huge), etc. ask yourself this - the biggest drug problem in the U.S. today is prescription drug abuse. why isn't there a war against those drug dealers?
